The presentation of the study titled “Regional Instability and Economic Growth: An Assessment on Turkey” by Kırklareli University Department of Economics faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Eğri was held on March 9, 2023 at 15:00 in the seminar hall on the 2nd floor of Block B of our university.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, who is also a faculty member of the Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Hamdi GENÇ, as well as the Head of the Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Faruk BAL. Many other faculty members from our faculty also participated.
EĞRİ began the presentation by explaining the relationship between political instability and economic growth. Eğri then briefly summarized the relevant studies in the literature and mentioned that the study contributed to this field by examining the effect of political instability in neighboring countries on economic growth. Focusing on Turkey, EĞRİ stated that the findings revealed political instability in neighboring countries played a role in Turkey's economic growth. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session following EĞRİ’s presentation.
